How I have helped others

Making some changes to our diet, eating habits and nutrition is an act of self-compassion, and we can all make A change for the better...I have recently had interesting and enlightening sessions with Dana. We have been looking at how I can optimise my brain and body functions with my diet and if supplementation is necessary at this 'delicious' time in my life (perimenopause / menopause).
Dana is warm and encouraging in her approach and a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional. I found the way she explained things accessible and actionable. I have learnt a lot about what is (or what is not) going inside my body and what I can do to improve the situation.

I have been eating much better. Since completing the course I have been able to build healthier habits in my diet, including eating more protein and fresh food. I have had much less processed food like takeaways etc. I have also been able to build healthier lifestyle habits like spending less time on my phone in the mornings and evenings. This has meant that my sleep is a (bit) better and also I am able to have a morning routine, including a cold shower(!)

I came on Dana's course to learn more about ADHD following my diagnosis. After trying several medications I realised it wasn't a sustainable treatment for me and felt that modern
healthcare placed too much emphasis on pharmaceutical treatments. I wanted to try a more holistic approach that looked at diet and lifestyle through the lens of my ADHD.
I knew things like diet, exercise and routines helped people but I wondered how and why this may differ for someone with ADHD. Dana is brilliant and really knows her stuff. We covered several topics going in depth with the most recent science. I appreciate the importance of protein far more now after going in-depth on the ADHD brain, neurotransmitters and hormones.
